The shower lacks warm water and has low pressure, barely sufficient for a thorough wash. Breakfast choices are limited and overpriced, with fruit and underwhelming dishes like noodles and cabbage. Notably, the beds are short, which can make sleeping uncomfortable for taller guests—my feet were hanging off the end. The walls don’t offer much in the way of soundproofing, making it difficult to ignore hallway noise, especially from cleaning crews. Bathroom air circulation suffers. without closing the door, the main room's air conditioning falls short.

The friendly staff consistently provided excellent service, and the spacious deluxe room offered comfort during my stay. The small pool was inviting, a nice spot to unwind. However, the location felt less suitable for families, given the nightlife nearby that might not be ideal for children. Additionally, the breakfast options leaned heavily towards Asian street food, which may not appeal to everyone, limiting variety. Soundproofing issues from neighboring rooms also proved to be a disturbance at times.

great staff but noise issues at night

The porters provided exceptional service upon arrival and were very polite. My two-bedroom loft suite on the 25th floor offered an absolutely spectacular view, making the room feel cozy and inviting. I appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the convenience of room service. The city view from my loft was simply stunning, adding to the overall ambiance of my stay.

The noise from the hallway made it difficult to fully relax at night.

the stay at 1898 hotel colonia en las filipinas was fantastic! check-in was super quick, taking just 5 minutes. our premium deluxe twin room was exactly as shown in pictures and the bed was so comfy. the pool area was absolutely beautiful at night, perfect for relaxing after a day out.
